Over Memorial Day weekend, students in the Ivy League Mentoring program went to Trout Lodge to celebrate all of their hard work this school year. Every week this year, the students completed extra mathematics and language arts assignments. In their weekly group meetings, they were challenged academically, physically and personally. They had the chance to demonstrate all of these things during the trip to Trout Lodge.
On the trip, the students participated in boating, archery, riflery, swimming, campfires, hiking and other outdoor activities. They also had the opportunity to challenge themselves by climbing the Apine Tower, swinging from the giant swing and speeding down the zipline. Also, the 8th and 9th grade students took a practice ACT test and scored very well. We are excited to see what they can accomplish in the next few years of high school!
